Welcome event for British High Commissioner HE Joseph Fisher

We were honoured to attend the welcome event for His Excellency Joseph Fisher, the new British High Commissioner to Guyana. The reception brought together leaders from business, government, and civil society to mark the start of his tenure.

A meaningful moment

The UK has been an important partner to Guyana across trade, education, and technology, and the arrival of a new High Commissioner is always a useful moment to take stock. The conversations in the room reflected genuine optimism about deepening those ties, particularly as Guyana’s growth opens new opportunities for collaboration with British companies and institutions.

What we shared

We had the chance to briefly introduce Voxxil and the work being done locally on healthcare software and AI quality validation. The interest from the High Commissioner and his team in homegrown Guyanese technology was warm and direct, and we look forward to continuing the conversation as he settles into the role.
